FISHING REPORT

January 13, 2020

Lake Tahoe is fishing very well of late.  Weather has been fairly dry of late.  High winds have kept us off the water a few days but for the most part better than usual weather with great fishing.  Fish are in normal winter mode, somewhat spread out in depths from 75'-225'.  We are currently targeting Mackinaw in as shallow of water as possible.  Starting each charter in about 75' working our way to the bite.  Jigging with fluorescent colors has worked great.  No minnow necessary just lather your lure with scent and drop it down to desired depth.  Trolling with Rapala and Storm Thunderstick.  Brown Trout coloring as well black and silver have been best trolling with downriggers from 20'-140'.  Varying speeds from 2-4 mph.  never trolling straight lines or consistent speed.  Work Blue Line on South Shore from Camp Rich to Edgewood.  Find great top water action from Cave Rock To Ski Run.
